Important Contribution Rules

Campaign contributions are governed by BC’s Local Elections Campaign Financing Act (LECFA) . By donating, you confirm that:

  • Identity: You are a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada.

  • Residency: You are a current resident of British Columbia.

  • Source: You are donating as an individual. Contributions from corporations, trade unions, or organizations are prohibited.

  • Limit: Your cumulative contributions to this campaign do not exceed $1,429.70, the legal maximum per donor for the 2026 local election cycle.

  • Ownership: This contribution is made from your own personal funds. You will not be reimbursed by another person or organization.

  • Transparency: You consent to your name and address being recorded and reported to Elections BC if your total contributions reach $50 or more.
